I am seeking an opportunity in farming grounded in long-term sustainability, stewardship of land, and thoughtful growth. While I do not come from a traditional farming background, I bring a strong commitment to learning the craft, respecting existing knowledge, and applying complementary skills that support a resilient and economically viable operation.

My primary interest in farming is rooted in sustainability—environmental, financial, and human. I am motivated by work that has tangible impact, where success is measured not only in yield or profit, but also in soil health, resource efficiency, and the ability to pass something better on to the next generation. I view farming not as a short-term venture, but as a long-term responsibility and investment in place.

Although I lack hands-on agricultural experience, my professional background has equipped me with skills that translate directly to the realities of running and sustaining a farm business. I have experience managing complex projects, balancing competing priorities, and making disciplined, data-informed decisions under uncertainty—conditions that closely parallel agricultural operations. I am comfortable with long planning horizons, incremental improvement, and the patience required for outcomes that unfold over seasons rather than quarters.

I bring strong capabilities in operations, planning, and execution. This includes budgeting and financial oversight, process improvement, vendor and stakeholder management, and building systems that are efficient without being brittle. In a farming context, these skills support cost control, capital planning, regulatory compliance, equipment management, and the thoughtful scaling or diversification of operations when appropriate.

Equally important, I value collaboration and institutional knowledge. I do not see this path as “starting from scratch,” but rather as building upon what already works. I have deep respect for experienced farmers and land stewards, and I am explicitly interested in learning from those who know the land, the climate, and the rhythms of the operation. My goal would be to complement—not replace—existing expertise, whether through partnership, gradual transition, or continuity of legacy.

I am practical, long-term oriented, and values-driven. I understand that farming involves risk, hard work, and adaptation, and I am prepared for that reality.
