 Hello! I am new here and very new to the farming world...well, actually, I don’t have any experience really, but am looking to gain some!

A little bit about me...I've been a Registered Nurse for 14 years now and have recently completed a master's degree in Integrative Health and Healing. I've grown very interested in our food systems and the ways of holistic land management. I have a "dream" of owning a small scale farm that produces vegetable/herb crops, helps to feed local surrounding communities, provides educational opportunities to anyone who might be interested in learning more about holistic healing and land management, and to provide a space for the community to gather and enjoy the fruits of our labor (business plan is in progress).

I’m very interested in finding a position where I could be a live-in caretaker of someone's land/farm/animals who is willing to teach me all about farming/land management. Best case scenario would be to find a place where I could be employed for a period of time with the opportunity of transfer of ownership OR rent to own.

My only experience entails working on a horse farm as a young girl and gardening with my mom my entire life. I've also, recently, started volunteering at a horse farm for retired horses in Salem, CT. Not much to draw from, but it's a start. I'm a hard worker, very respectful and responsible with others' space and my nursing experience has taught me to easily adapt, listen to instructions well, roll with the punches and learn quickly by doing.
