My friends and I are passionate about starting a small-scale vegetable and flower farm with a community-oriented farm stand. We envision cultivating a variety of local vegetables such as tomatoes, squash, sweet and spicy peppers, pumpkins, and gourds, alongside native flowers that support pollinators and beautify the landscape. Our goal is to create a space that not only produces fresh, healthy food but also fosters sustainability, community engagement, and environmental stewardship.

We are particularly interested in growing crops that thrive in our local climate and soil, and we aim to use organic and regenerative practices wherever possible. In addition to vegetables and flowers, we hope to incorporate a few bee boxes to support pollination and produce local honey, as well as raise chickens for eggs and natural pest control. These additions would help us move toward greater self-sufficiency and deepen our connection to the land.

None of us come from traditional farming backgrounds, but we bring a diverse set of skills and a strong work ethic. Among us are individuals with experience in project management, community outreach, and environmental advocacy. We are eager to learn from experienced farmers and agricultural professionals, and we are open to partnerships, mentorships, or collaborations that can help us grow—both literally and figuratively.

Our interest in farming stems from a desire to live more intentionally and sustainably. We believe that small farms play a vital role in strengthening local food systems, preserving biodiversity, and building resilient communities. We are excited about the possibility of contributing to this movement and are actively seeking opportunities to connect with others who share our values.
