CT Wagyu

My Wagyu herd is growing and I am diversifying my farming ventures, quickly outgrowing the size of the family farm. Looking for options for growth, whether overall or to focus on a single aspect of production. Currently focused on raising Wagyu for premium beef, but have also raised layers and broilers, garlic, and culinary herbs.

I’ve spent the majority of my adult work life operating a landscape and property maintenance company for the past 25 years. Most recently focusing on the maintenance of local municipal athletic fields and providing specialty services to other local farms including specialty fencing and even forestry mowing. I have extensive equipment, maintenance and construction knowledge and am now looking to turn a farming hobby into a living. My skills and knowledge mean properties requiring work do not concern me so long as the terms are logical. 

Ideas I’ve floated to diversify operations include operating the layers and/or broilers on a larger scale utilizing a pasture raised setup, utilizing high tunnels for some specialty crops,  and working to incorporate several Agritourism opportunities. Basically , I’m interested in talking if you have property in New London or Windam counties that could potentially fulfill our needs for growth or diversification. Currently actively farming in Preston but looking at properties in New London and Windam counties.

Larger properties beyond New London and Windam counties would also be of interest.
