My wife and I are moving to the area around New Haven in the next year or so. She grew up on an organic farm, has experience working on both a CSA-type business, has worked as an equestrian vet tech, and is finishing her PhD in ecology and fisheries & wildlife management. We are looking for a smaller scale dairy or organic field or specialty crop opportunity that she would be able to do full-time, while I would help part time while teaching at a local university. My field of study is genetics, so while I don't have the practical experience my wife does, I have extensive background in breeding and genetics for both crops and livestock. We are looking for somewhere that we would be able to live on-site, while still commutable to New Haven. We are interested in exploring a range of options, and as we will not be moving until May or June of 2021 we have time to see what kind of opportunities might be available!
