Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary

Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong care for abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals across Connecticut. Since our founding in 2018, we have served as a safe haven for animals in crisis while working to promote compassion, humane education, and environmental stewardship within our community.

We are currently seeking to relocate and expand our operations to a permanent property of 20+ acres to support our growing rescue efforts and long-term sustainability. The land will be used to develop safe, well-managed pastures and paddocks, barns for shelter and medical care (including a dedicated medical/triage barn), and space for feed storage and essential infrastructure.

In addition to animal care, the property will support our broader vision, The Stewardship Project: Compassion, Conservation, and Community, which integrates animal welfare with environmental practices such as pollinator habitats, composting systems, and responsible land management.

While our sanctuary does not operate as a public-facing facility with regular foot traffic, we do engage the community through off-site humane education programs, youth initiatives, and future small-scale, structured programming.

We are open to a variety of arrangements, including purchase, lease, or lease-to-own, and are committed to being responsible stewards of the land while maintaining a quiet, respectful presence in the surrounding community.
