Description

A first generation female farmer is looking for farmland to call home. Currently, I have a small horseback riding and goat rental program with the plans to create a zero footprint farm. My goal is to create a sustainable farm with innovation and out of the box (but realistic) plans. Ideally, I would like to step into a farm that either has production or is looking to expand production.

My focus and belief is that people need to experience the outdoors and that sometimes the best way to help them experience is by providing many different options. Many farms are only vegetables (or plants) OR livestock. I would like to incorporate both into my farm. What I would like to do is create a farm that utilizes the best of all farming methods. My farm has been in operation for a little over three years. It still needs work but my current facility is limiting my ability to grow. I would love to have a barn and paddocks set up for my livestock (horses, donkeys & goats) but I am willing to start with raw land.

About me: My name is Felicia and I have over seven years experience in marketing and research. In the two years I've operated my riding program I went from three students a week (in 2017) to over thirty students a week (in 2019). I credit this to my background in customer service and my degree in communications. When I work with people it is always about them. As a producer I think it is important to be people first while teaching them about my animals and the world around them. I am working on getting better at the paperwork end of things but it is hard to stay focused when there is so much to do!

I have plans on creating more in depth cross overs between farming and technology. What I am looking for is someone who is looking to enjoy their farm in new ways. Someone who is willing to work with me to create a new and unique experience.
