I am a 40 year old single mom. I am looking for the opportunity to start a self sustaining farm/homestead. I am currently enrolling in agriculture classes as well as looking for opportunities to be down the ropes. I have experience managing several small trades businesses and a relative that worked for the natural conservation department of the USDA for many years. My 11 year old son has special needs and animals/farming is his happy place. I also have adult children that will help me on the farm once I own one. I have experience caring for chickens and horses that’s about it. I am learning to care for cattle and pigs. Even land with housing will work because I will build my own green houses and out buildings. This is a huge dream for myself and my family.
