Olerum Agriculture

I am in the process of establishing a small-scale, market-oriented organic farming operation centered on intensive vegetable production. The farm will focus on high-quality salad greens and seasonal vegetables, ideally grown in permanent beds using low-tillage practices. In addition to vegetable production, the operation will include a cut flower enterprise and a variety of specialty products like honey and essential oils. A primary market goal is supplying local restaurants with premium salad greens, alongside direct-to-consumer sales through CSA and farmers markets. 

I am seeking land access for this endeavor, with a particular interest in short- and long-term leases, as well as buying farmland. I'm interested in learning from and collaborating with those with experience and who are contributing to the long-term continuity of CT farmland in agricultural production. 

I have work experience in successful greenhouse operations, at farmer's markets and with garden planning. I have a background in logistics and will be handling deliveries as well as all farm operations, but may hire help from time to time. I also have an interest in working with nonprofits and engaging in community outreach projects that establish food sovereignty and improve the health and lives of the local community.
