Ott Farms

I am pivoting out of a career in law to a career in agriculture. I have experience in my home garden with no-till and polyculture practices. I am interested in natural/organic processes and restoration of soil health and fertility to underutilized land.

 I am seeking a lease of 1-2 acres of property currently in use as a hay field or fallow meadow. I would be rehabilitating that land into healthy and robust soil thus dramatically increasing the value of the property. 

I intend to focus on the niche market of spices, requiring the use of a hoop house. I am capable of navigating the various grants and subsidies available to minimize cost while maximizing soil benefit.

I am a first generation farmer, and would like to set such an example for my young children. It will be their burden to fix the world we leave for them, I want to give them a head start.
