Pleasant view farms

Pleasant View Farms is a family-owned and operated farm based in Somers, Connecticut, with deep roots in agriculture and land stewardship. Our operation includes hay production, livestock, and a growing Red Angus cow-calf herd. We take pride in managing land responsibly and building long-term relationships with landowners based on trust, communication, and care for the property.

We are currently seeking additional pasture or hay ground to rent within approximately 20 miles of Somers, CT, for grazing a small group of gentle Red Angus cow-calf pairs. Ideally, we are looking for 60 or more acres, though we are open to discussing smaller or larger parcels depending on layout and access. Our goal is to graze from May through November, with the potential for a multi-year agreement if it is a good fit for both parties.

We are experienced livestock managers and are not afraid to invest in the land we rent. This includes installing quality temporary or permanent electric fencing, managing rotational grazing, maintaining clean water access, and working to improve pasture health over time. Our focus is on taking care of the land, not just using it. We believe good grazing should leave the ground in better condition than when we started.

We understand that every landowner’s goals are different. Some may want pasture maintained, others may want hay ground rested or lightly grazed, and some may simply want a reliable farmer who shows up, communicates, and respects their property. We are flexible, easy to work with, and committed to being good stewards of the land.

This opportunity is strictly a rental arrangement — we are not looking for free use of land. We are happy to discuss fair rental terms that make sense for both sides.
