Description

Samad Gardens Initiative LLC is a CT-based diversified specialty crop farm and education enterprise founded by Azeem Blessings Kareem and Sarah Rose Kareem.  Samad operates at Auerfarm, a 120 acre farm in Bloomfield, CT, of which we lease and farm 1 acre. Samad grows fresh produce, cut flowers, and value added herbal teas and products which are sold at community at farmer's markets, through a statewide CSA, and to wholesale partners.

Samad offers ongoing education opportunities for new gardeners and farmers with a focus on serving the BIPOC community, and operates an incubator farm, apprenticeship program, and ongoing classes on-farm.

We are looking to purchase a farm and operate an ag production and value-added products training hub on 5 or more acres.
