Description

Samad Gardens Initiative is an urban farm operation which empowers and educates aspiring farmers-of-color to grow food for our themselves and their communities. We are looking to transition to a small farm homestead for educational purposes, and as a storefront. Our farm production manager, Sarah Rose Kareem has 5+ years of experience as Holcomb Farm's Wholesale Manager (an organic vegetable production farm with an annual 400+ family CSA). Our business plan includes a small CSA to scale up with growing labor capacity, virtual gardening courses, youth educational programming, apprenticeship, and more.
