Description
Currently, I have been leasing 3 garden plots (30'x30'each) from the East Haddam Community Garden for the past two seasons. I grow fresh culinary, herbs, edible flowers, cut flowers, and a handful of specialty vegetables. Aside from fresh I also dry flowers and herbs for indoor wreaths as a value added product.
The 2025 season I attended the Lebanon Farmer' Market and marketed my products as Patch Farm. My preferred method of growing is using organic practices.
I have 10 years experience farming organic vegetables, culinary herbs and flowers. From 2015-2022, I was managing a small scale vegetable garden and greenhouse for a private community in upstate New York. For the 2000, 2001 season I apprentenced on 3 organic farmers.
My ultimate goal is to buy property to grow fresh culinary herbs, edible flowers, cut flowers, and specialty vegetables for local restaurants and health food stores.
To add value added products I will have a certified kitchen to dry herbs for jarred spices . In addition I will also grow medical herbs for making tinctures.
